ZAMBIAN GOVERNMENT ADVISED TO CONTINUE BEING VIGILANT AND KEEP AN EYE ON THE HERBAL MEDICINES ON THE MARKET IN RELATION TO HIV TO AVOID PEOPLE BEING USED IN TRIALS WHICH GIVE OTHER COMPLICATIONS AFTER WARDS

FORMER HEALTH MINISTER PROFESSOR NKANDU LUO HAS ADVISED THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTINUE BEING VIGILANT AND KEEP AN EYE ON THE HERBAL MEDICINES ON THE MARKET IN RELATION TO HIV TO AVOID PEOPLE BEING USED IN TRIALS WHICH GIVE OTHER COMPLICATIONS AFTER WARDS.
SPEAKING IN AN INTERVIEW WITH RADIO PHOENIX, PROFESSOR LUO SAYS THERE IS NEED TO AVOID THE SITUATION OF JUST PARADING PEOPLE TO TRY OUT HERBAL MEDICINES SUCH AS THE TIAN IMMUNE BOOSTER WITHOUT BEING SURE BECAUSE THE COMPLICATIONS WHICH PEOPLE ARE GETTING ARE AS A RESULT OF THE UNVERIFIED MEDICINES.
SHE HAS STATED THAT THE GOVERNMENT MUST PROTECT ITS PEOPLE THROUGH PUTTING IN PLACE STIFF MONITORING POLICIES THAT WILL ENSURE THAT EVERY RESEARCH WHICH IS BEING CARRIED OUT BY ANY RESEARCHER ESPECIALLY ON HEALTH MATTERS DOES NOT PUT THE LIVES OF PEOPLE AT RISK.
PROFESSOR LUO HAS RECALLED THAT DUE TO LACK OF ADEQUATE MONITORING POLICIES IN THE COUNTRY IN RELATION TO HEALTH RESEARCH, IT LED TO PEOPLE IN MAZABUKA TO BE INFECTED WITH HIV WHICH UP TO NOW NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT IT.
SHE HAS COMMENDED THE HEALTH MINISTRY FOR STOPPING THE USE OF TIAN IMMUNE BOOSTER BY STATING THAT THE MEDICINE MUST BE USED ONLY WHEN SUCH A TIME THAT IT IS PROVED TO BE HARMLESS TO THE HUMAN RACE.
