lack of adherence to high way code is causing most accidents -RTSA



The Road And Safety Agency (Rtsa) Has Observed That Lack Of Adherence To High Way Codes And Rules Is Increasing The Number Of Accidents In The Country Especially Along The Lusaka-Kabwe-Copperbelt Road.

Rtsa Public Relations Officer Mercy Khozi Mwila Has Explained Most Motorists Are Ignoring The High Code Especially At Night.
Mrs. Mwila Says Due To Lack Of Triangles Has Led To Two Multi-Choice Bosses Dying On The Spot In Chibombo After The Vehicle They Were Travelling In Collided With A Truck As They Were Coming From Ndola About 65killometers From Lusaka.
Mrs. Mwila Has Appealed To Motorists To Adhere To The High Way Code And Ensure That They Carry Triangles Which Are Cardinal When A Vehicle Is Parked During Both Night And Day.
Two Multi-Choice Managers Danny Kayonga For Finance And Amos Sakazhila Operations Manager Yesterday Died On The Spot After The Car Which Was Being Driven By Company General Manager Simon Both Collided With A Truck.
Mr. Botha Who Survived The Accident Is In Lusaka Trust Hospital And The Two Dead Personnel’s Are In Liteta Hospital In Central Province.
According To Police Sources, Mr. Both And The Two Deceased Were Coming From Work In Ndola.
