MMD will not re-adopt its chama north candidate whose seat has being nullified

Opposition MMD says it will not contest the decision of the high court to nullify the seat of party Chama north Member of Parliament darious mumba stating that it is a share waste of resources.


According to well placed sources within the party, the MMD has decided not to contest the decision by the high because, Mr. mumba is not in good standing with party as he is believed to be working with the ruling patriotic front to dethrone the party in the area.

And the sources have revealed that the national executive committee is regretting the decision of contesting the decision by the high court to nullify solwezi east where its candidate DR lwipa puma won the seat but it was petitioned.

The sources have stated that DR puma is believed to be also working against the party in the area and it is believed that he was once almost given a position by the ruling PF.

However when contacted for a comment over the revelations that it will not contest the decision to nullify the seat due to Mr. mumba not being in good books with the party, deputy national secretary chembe nyangu could not validate the claims from the phoenix sources.

Mr. nyangu says the party has decided not to contest the decision by the high court due to the cost which are involved in contesting courts decisions more especially that it is looking for finances to have its convention hence it would rather go for a by-election.
