SENIOR CHIEF BRIGHT NALUBAMBA OF THE ILLA PEOPLE IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE CAUTIONS VOTERS IN THIS YEAR’S GENERAL ELECTIONS NOT TO BE SWAYED BY GIFTS

SENIOR CHIEF BRIGHT NALUBAMBA OF THE ILLA PEOPLE IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE HAS CAUTIONED VOTERS IN THIS YEAR’S GENERAL ELECTIONS NOT TO BE SWAYED BY GIFTS SUCH AS HOUSES OR CHITENGE MATERIALS FROM ANY POLITICAL PARTY WHEN CHOOSING WHICH LEADER AND PARTY TO VOTE FOR.
SPEAKING IN AN INTERVIEW CHIEF NALUBAMBA POINTED OUT THAT PEOPLE SHOULD VOTE ON THE BASIS THAT THE PERSON WHO WILL BE ELECTED WILL DELIVER DEVELOPMENT.
CHIEF NALUBAMBA HAS ADVISED ELECTORATES TO RECEIVE THE FREE GIFTS FROM ANY POLITICAL PARTY BUT SHOULD NOT RECEIVE THOSE GIFTS WHICH WILL COME WITH STRINGS ATTACHED.
HE HAS STATED THAT MANY ARE TIMES THAT PEOPLE RECEIVE GIFTS WITHOUT REALIZING THAT THERE ARE STRINGS ATTACHED AND ONLY RECEIVE A RUDE SHOCK WHEN THE PERSON WHO GAVE THEM COMES BACK TO DEMAND HIS REFUND BECAUSE THEY DID NOT FULFILL WHAT THEY WANTED.
THE TRADITIONAL LEADER REITERATED THAT IT IS CARDINAL FOR PEOPLE TO ELECT PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT STEAL THEIR VOTES BUT FOR THOSE WHO WILL DELIVER AND CONTRIBUTE MEANINGFULLY TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY
