FORMER FIRST LADY DR. MAUREEN MWANAWASA HAS IMPLORED EMPLOYERS TO REFLECT AND IMPROVE ON THEIR SAFETY MEASURES AND OTHER CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

FORMER FIRST LADY DR. MAUREEN MWANAWASA HAS IMPLORED EMPLOYERS TO REFLECT AND IMPROVE ON THEIR SAFETY MEASURES AND OTHER CONDITIONS OF SERVICE IN THEIR ORGANIZATIONS AS PART OF THEIR LABOUR DAY RESOLUTIONS.
SPEAKING IN AN INTERVIEW WITH RADIO PHOENIX DR. MWANAWASA SAYS EVEN THOUGH GOVERNMENT HAS PUT A LIMIT AS TO HOW MUCH A WORKERS IS SUPPOSE TO GET PAID DEPENDING ON THEIR QUALIFICATIONS, IT IS CARDINAL THAT COMPANIES MAKING PROFITS PAY BACK TO THEIR WORKERS FOR THE WORK THEY DO
DR. MWANAWASA SAYS IT IS IMPORTANT TO ENSURE THAT WORK PLACES HAVE IN PLACE STRINGENT SAFETY MEASURES AND WORKERS HAVE GOOD CONDITIONS OF SERVICE IF PRODUCTION IS TO BE IMPROVED.
SHE HAS FURTHER NOTED THE COUNTRY HAS NOT EXPERIENCED ANY CIVIL UNREST WHICH HAS LED TO A CLOSURE OF A COMPANY FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS BECAUSE OF DIALOGUE AND UNDERSTANDING.
THE FORMER FIRST LADY SAYS WORKERS AND EMPLOYERS SHOULD CONTINUE WITH THE CULTURE OF DIALOGUE WHEN THERE ARE SOME DISPUTES OR CIVIL UNREST SO THAT PRODUCTION IS NOT AFFECTED IN ANY COMPANY IN THE COUNTRY.
AND BANK OF ZAMBIA GOVERNOR DR. CALEB FUNDANGA HAS CALLED ON THE WORKERS IN THE COUNTRY TO CONTINUE AND IMPROVE ON THE WORK CULTURE SO THAT THE COUNTRY CAN CONTINUE TO DEVELOP FURTHER FROM WHERE IT IS TO ANOTHER LEVEL.
DR FUNDANGA HAS NOTED THAT IT IS ONLY THROUGH HARD WORK THAT THE NATION WILL IMPROVE ECONOMICALLY AND NOT ANY OTHER MEANS HENCE IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WORKERS FROM ALL VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS FOSTER THE SPIRIT OF HARD WORK
