A VISITING SINGAPORE E-GOVERNANCE EXPERT KIM LENG TAN HAS NOTED THAT THERE IS NEED TO BUILD UP INFORMATION INFRASTRUCTURE TO SUPPORT THE PROCESS FOR ZAMBIA TO CONTINUE EASING THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS.
SPEAKING AT A PRESS BRIEFING THIS MORNING MR. LENG TAN SAID THAT IN BUILDING UP INFORMATION INFRASTRUCTURE IS WHAT GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION WITHOUT LEAVING THE ASPECT OF THE PROS AND CONS OF WHAT THE NEW AND OLD TECHNOLOGY CAN OFFER
MR. LENG TAN WHO IS FROM THE E-GOVERNANCE CENTRE POINTED OUT THAT THERE IS ALSO NEED TO CONTINUE INVESTING IN THE CITIZENS BY BUILDING CAPACITY SO THAT THEY ADAPT WELL TO THE REFORM PROGRAMMES AND IMPACT A MORE STRUCTURED PROCESS OF DOING BUSINESS IN THIS CHANGING WORLD.
THE E-GOVERNANCE EXPERT SAYS THERE IS NEED TO CREATE A CULTURE OF IMPROVING WORK, TIME AND RESOURCE ALLOCATION, AND HAVE NECESSARY TRAINING TO ATTAIN FULL CAPACITY.
