THE BASIC EDUCATION TEACHERS UNION OF ZAMBIA (BETUZ) HAS IMPLORED THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TO BRING ON BOARD ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN THE CURRICULUM REVIEW EXERCISE.

MR SIMUNTALA HAS TOLD RADIO PHOENIX IN AN INTERVIEW THAT  REVIEWING  THE CURRICULUM IS LONG OVERDUE ADDING THAT TEACHERS MUST BE CONSULTED AND BE INVOLVED AT EVERY LEVEL OF THE CURRICULUM REVIEW  SO AS TO ENSURE THAT THERE ARE NO GAPS.
MR SIMUNTALA HAS POINTED OUT THAT THE CURRICULUM SHOULD INCLUDE COURSES THAT WILL ENABLE YOUNG PEOPLE VENTURE INTO SUSTAINABLE  BUSINESSES TO ENABLE THEM CONTRIBUTE TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
HE HAS FURTHER STATED THAT THE INCLUSION OF THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS IN THE CURRICULUM WILL GO A LONG WAY IN HELPING TO REDUCE POVERTY AMONG THE ZAMBIAN CITIZENS AS THEY WILL ADOPT THE SENSE OF SELF RELIANT.
