ZAMBIAN POLITICIANS ADVISED TO BE ISSUE BASED IN THEIR CAMPAIGNS AS THE COUNTRY GOES TO THE POLLS THIS YEAR

THE GERMANY GOVERNMENT HAS ADVISED ZAMBIAN POLITICIANS TO BE ISSUED BASED IN THEIR CAMPAIGNS AND AVOID POLITICS OF CHARACTER ASSASSINATION BEFORE THIS YEAR’S ELECTIONS DATE IS ANNOUNCED.
GERMANY AMBASSADOR TO ZAMBIA FRANK MEYKE SAYS THIS YEAR’S GENERAL ELECTIONS ARE NOT ONLY IMPORTANT TO THE ZAMBIAN AND THE COUNTRY AS A WHOLE BUT HAS DRASTIC IMPLICATIONS IF NOT CAREFULLY HANDED IN TERMS OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT FROM EUROPE AND OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD.
AMBASSADOR MEYKE SAYS POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS BASED ON PERSONAL ATTACKS WILL NOT BRING ANY DEVELOPMENT TO THE NATION AS IT WILL ONLY DEPICT A BAD IMAGE ON THE COUNTRY’S POLITICIANS.
THE GERMANY AMBASSADOR WHO WAS SPEAKING IN AN INTERVIEW WITH RADIO PHOENIX SAID THE ELECTIONS ARE PARTLY PUBLIC RELATIONS AS THEY WILL PAINT A PICTURE TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD OF WHAT ZAMBIA AND WHAT IT PEOPLE MADE OF.
AND ADDING THEIR VOICE, THE ROYAL KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS AMBASSADOR TO ZAMBIA HARRY MOLENAAR SAYS POLITICIANS SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON ISSUES WHICH ARE AFFECTING THE ZAMBIAN.
AND AMBASSADOR MOLENAAR PLEDGED HIS COUNTRY’S SUPPORT TO THE VARIOUS INSTITUTIONS ESPECIALLY TOWARDS THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION AND ITS SUBSEQUENT SYSTEM.
