CNMC to commission mulyashi open pit mne on 27th march 2012

Mulyashi Open Pit Mine on the Copperbelt owned by China non-ferrous metal company (CNMC) luanshya mine is set be commissioned on 27th march this year.
CNMC luanshya mines head of public relations and local business development Sydney chileya says the mine is expected to be producing about 700 to 800tones of copper concentrate per month.
Mr. Chileya says President Michael Sata is expected to grace the commissioning of this Mine which represents the future of Mining in Luanshya town.
He says the US$ 370Million project consists of 3 main open pits, a Heap Leaching Plant and an Agitation Leaching plant and the Heating Section of the Agitation Leaching Plant will be the largest in Africa.
Mr. chileya says at full capacity, the Mine is expected to produce 42,000 Metric tones of finished copper cathode per annum. 
He says the Mine, which has been constructed in a record 26 months, has already created employment for over 1,000 youths from the 3 main townships of Luanshya namely Mpatamatu, Roan and Mikomfwa. 
Mr. chileya has reiterated the company’s commitment to being a  reliable and committed investor whose vision and desire is to help in the development of not only Luanshya Town, but the country’s economy as a whole.
