ZAMBIA'S PRESIDENT , BANDA DENIES ATTACKING THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE COUNTRY ON VARIOUS ISSUES

PRESIDENT RUPIAH BANDA HAS DENIED ATTACKING THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE COUNTRY BY STATING THAT THE CHURCH IS MADE UP OF INDIVIDUALS WHO SUPPORT THE PARTY AND OTHERS WHO DO NOT SUPPORT IT BUT THIS DOES NOT MEAN HE HAS ANY GRUDGE AGAINST THE CHURCH.
SPEAKING TO JOURNALISTS BEFORE HIS DEPARTURE TO BOTSWANA WHERE HE HAS GONE TO ATTEND A TWO DAY SOUTHERN AFRICA DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY EXTRA ORDINARY SUMMIT, PRESIDENT BANDA SAID THAT AT NO TIME HAS HE ATTACKED THE CHURCH HENCE THE ASSERTIONS ARE FALSE.
AND PRESIDENT BANDA HAS POINTED OUT THAT HIS GOVERNMENT IS NOT GOING TO STOP DEVELOPING THE COUNTRY BECAUSE IT IS GOING TO THE ELECTIONS BECAUSE PEOPLE NEED DEVELOPMENT IN THE AREA WHERE THEY ARE STAYING.
HE SAYS HIS GOVERNMENT IS VERY INNOVATIVE HENCE THE ASSERTIONS BY THE PF LEADER MICHAEL SATA THAT THE 1TRILLION KWACHA ROAD PROJECT IS NOT BUDGETED FOR BUT A POLITICAL GIMMICK SHOULD BE LEFT TO THE PEOPLE TO JUDGE AS TO WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH.
MEANWHILE PRESIDENT BANDA HAS CHALLENGED THE MEDIA TO INVESTIGATE AND NOT BASE THEIR WRITING OF STORIES ON ASSERTIONS OR RUMUORS BECAUSE THIS WILL MAKE THEM WRITE STORIES FROM AN UNFORMED DECISIONS POINT OF VIEW.
