ZAMBIA'S PRESIDENT TAKES A SWIPE AT THE OPPOSITION

PRESIDENT  RUPIAH  BANDA HAS TAKEN A SWIPE AT OPPOSITION PATRIOTIC FRONT PRESIDENT MICHAEL SATA  AND FORMER WORKS AND SUPPLY MINISTER  MIKE MULONGOTI DESCRIBING  THEIR  RANTINGS AS THOSE  OF FRUSTRATED PEOPLE.
SPEAKING AT LUSAKA  INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT BEFORE HIS DEPARTURE FOR TURKEY THIS MORNING, PRESIDENT BANDA SAID CONTRARY TO  ALLEGATIONS BY MR SATA, HIS GOVERNMENT  HAS MADE A LOT  OF PROGRESS TO DEVELOP ZAMBIA.
THE PRESIDENT ALSO SAYS THERE WAS NOTHING  SIGNIFICANT ABOUT MR SATA`S TRIP TO  LONDON.
AND  PRESIDENT BANDA SAYS  MR MULONGOTI  IS A FRUSTRATED MAN AND HAS SINCE ADVISED  HIM TO KEEP QUIET IF HE HAS NOTHING TO  SAY.
MEANWHILE, NEW GENERATION  PARTY  PRESIDENT HUMPREY SIULAPWA SAYS HIS PARTY WILL NOT SIT IDLE  AND WATCH MR MULONGOTI MAKE HIS OUTBURSTS AGAINST PRESIDENT BANDA AND HIS GOVERNMENT.
MR SIULAPWA SAYS  IT IS UNACCEPTABLE  THAT PEOPLE SHOULD BEHAVE IN THE MANNER IN WHICH MR MULONGOTI IS BEHAVING WHEN  NOT LONG AGO HE WAS BUSY PRAISING PRESIDENT BANDA.
